2018 is shaping up to be a busy year for The Wild Medic Project. We have volunteer health and medical teams heading into villages in the Himalaya to support remote clinics and teams health care teams heading to an island community in Timor Leste (formerly East Timor). These expeditions are 2 weeks in duration and form part of a 2-year strategy for each location to improve health care access to the communities. These projects are open to qualified paramedics, nurses, doctors as well as allied health professionals, and there are a limited number of positions available for students to be involved.
To compliment these two projects, we are continuing to place qualified paramedics in the ambulance service of Vanuatu. Volunteers must have 3 years’ experience and a valid certificate of practice.
Make 2018 the year you step up and step out to support communities through health care expeditions and initiatives. Positions can fill quickly so if you are tempted, send us a message here for an information pack on any of the opportunities.
